Seagoth joins line up at FC2 supporting Loose Articles

After a four-date tour with ‘This Feeling’, Seagoth are returning for a hometown show supporting Manchester Punk band, Loose Articles.

Having recently released their latest EP through Bytes, the DIY Bedroom Pop band will also be featuring on the promoter’s massive 3 disc ‘Big In 2022’ Vinyl release (sadly, it has sold out of its 500 run!). Seagoth will also be at The Salty Dog in Northwich supporting Torture And The Desert Spiders on the 10th February.

Loose Articles aren’t your typical punk band. Living the 9-5 as many of us do, but once it hits beer O’clock, a different animal emerges. They began their musical escapades by aiming (& evidently achieving) to “make music because we wanted to prove a point that women can do it just as well as men. it became the first inspiration, then we realised we’re pretty alright at it so now we’re doing it for us and having a right laugh with it.”

On June 25th 2022, the band will support Foo Fighters in their home of Manchester.

Loose Articles are Natalie Wardle (vocals/bass), Tree Nah (vocals/guitar), Erin Caine (guitar) and Louise Rivett (drums) who describe themselves as ‘feminine and threatening, working and class’.

Last year they released an alternative Euro 2020 anthem Kick Like A Girl, as a reclamation of the misogynistic slur which is said in football to a male player who’s not performing as well.

“It suggests that women can’t play football, but we’re reclaiming that slur and throwing it back in people’s faces. “We want to take these stereotypes within football and turn them on their head.”

Joining them are fellow Manchester based Riot Girl band, Duvet.
