Crawlers sign to major record label, Polydor

A band who started their career off in Warrington has signed with a major record label in what the group describes as ‘an absolute dream come true’.

Announcing their signing with Polydor Records this week, a label that the band say they have looked up to for so long, the alternative rock band wrote: “So it’s official… we have signed to Polydor Records. This time has been an absolute dream come true and we just want to thank all of you guys for making it happen – we wouldn’t have done it without you.”

“It’s been a tough two months but we have never imagined where we would be and to be signed to a label we have looked up to for so long is insanity!

“And because of you, 2022 is the year of crawlers (the silly eyeliner band) and everybody says ‘watch this space’.”

The band who were our cover stars of [WAM] Magazine Issue 5 formed June 2018, with Liv Kettle – bassist and vocalist – meeting Holly Minto, who sings and plays trumpet, at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts sixth form college.

As well as Liv being from Warrington, so too is Amy Woodall on the guitar and backing vocals. Harry Breen completed the line up in 2021, having first heard of the band when reviewing one of their singles!

The group is also the latest name to be added to Neighbourhood Weekender 2022.

Crawlers’ recent single ‘Come Over (Again)’ went viral on social media and the band has sold out its headline tour.

We wish Crawlers all the very best for the future!
