After a “sold out” show in June on the On Location platform, The K’s are back in September with a whole two-day festival being live streamed over the weekend of 5-6th September. Tickets are available now here.
Unfortunately, due to more places in the North West of England being put into local lockdowns, The K’s have made the decision to postpone the online festival. In a statement on their Facebook page reads:
“First of all we want to say thank you for all your amazing support with our End Of Summer Close Out. Unfortunately, due to more places in the North West of England being put into local lockdowns, its now impossible for this to go ahead. To say we are gutted is an understatement. Thanks again to everyone who bought a ticket, you will be given a full refund. Another bump in the road but we’ll see you down the front soon x”
The band have also asked WArringtonMusic.co.uk to find a opening band for one of the days. That’s where you came in!
After WArringtonMusic.co.uk put together a shortlist of five amazing bands and artist from the area, it went to a public vote to find an artist who will get to “perform” in-front of up to 1000 paying viewers. With the Earlestown bands last stream selling out in advance, it’s a great opportunity for the winner
Congratulations to Filthy Tricks who came ahead of Crawlers after an incredibly tense few days where the lead constantly changed and over 6000 votes were cast! The five-piece will join the like of Syfta, Rats and The K’s on the line up which still has a number of artists yet to be announced.
Commiserations to all the artists who were not successful, you are all amazing artists and proud to share a music scene with you all. Why not check out their tracks for being such good competitors!
Lets remind ourselves of what live music used to be like before we started watching bands online with a bit of Glass Towns!
