Following their captivating set at Warrington Music Festival and headlining set at [WAM] Festival, up and coming Warrington act KULA BAY head to newly opened Live Bar on Barbauld Street (former Rag & Bone) for a headline gig, with The Attic Doctors, La Scala and Rob Scotney in support!
Following on from their [WAM] Festival headline slot, Live have got home town boys Kula Bay heading up an amazing line-up of acts at LiveBar. Described as “one of the most promising bands in the North West” by Even The Stars Magazine they have cemented their strong reputation with a series of uplifting, memorable gigs. Their debut single ‘7 Hours’ was released in 2017, with two more releases ‘Lost With You’ and ‘Make Up Your Mind’ dropping in 2018. Here’s hoping we hear news of a follow-up single at the gig!
“The young foursome began the theme of the evening, with enjoyable, bouncy indie-pop delivered well by likeable front-man David Hindle. Already picked up by BBC Introducing and playing regular support slots around Manchester’s indie scene, these guys are ones to keep an eye on.” – Popped Music
THE ATTIC DOCTORS
The Greater Manchester based outfit fuse floor-filling beats, riff-driven yet melodic guitar work, and infectious hook-lines to create an individual take on day to day narrative. Dean Peatfield’s sharp and topical vocal delivery dissects burning subjects in today’s modern age such as employment, technology, existence and love. Guitarist Joe Cubbin’s sound has been described as ‘like a pissed off Nile Rodgers’, while Matt Dagger and Jack Smith on the bass and drums take care of a water-tight rhythm section, often taking elements from other genres such as dance, hip hop and funk to add a whole new dimension to the band’s sound.
