Next weekend sees the launch of Warrington’s only dedicated music venue, Live bars.
After several months closed, the former Cotton Mill/ Rag & Bone on Barbauld Street has been newly refitted for live events, to host gigs to a 200 capacity and club nights to 400.
Launch weekend will see a night of hard hitting Indie Rock Music headlined by Warrington’s own Filthy Tricks as well as live performances from Polker, Sky Valley Mistress, with DJ support from Diddy on Saturday 13th April.
Filthy Tricks were last month’s special guests of The Winachi Tribe at [WAM] Festival and will be releasing their debut single ‘Black Diamond Eyes’ on the night.

Update. The Hattie Pearson fronted launch party has been postponed.
Opening night was due to see celebrated DJ and Radio presenter Hattie Peason take to the decks. Having presented for stations like Radio X and Key 103 it’s fair to say her record collection is bursting at the seams.
In a Facebook post this afternoon (Thursday 11th April) the bar have advised that due to unforeseen circumstances, the launch party has been cancelled. The venue said in a statement:
We want to bring you the very best live music experience and to do that and do it right we have had to postpone it .
We will be open on Saturday 13th where the hard hitting Filthy Tricks will be launching their much anticipated single Black Diamond Eyes.
You may know her from her weekly residency, GIRLS ON FILM in her home town of Manchester or from performing at the likes of Kendal Calling. We hope to see her on a future date.
