2nd Wave of bands announced for Neighbourhood Weekender

Neighbourhood Weekender Stage

Neighbourhood Weekender in Victoria Park has just got a whole lot bigger and now includes some hometown heroes.

The May bank holiday Festival yesterday announced the second wave of artists joining the line up for 2019.

The Futureheads, White Lies and The Twang are among the names to be added to this year’s bill. Sunday will see Newton Le Willows four-piece, The K’s play after a sold out show at Manchester Academy 2 in January.

They will join previously announced names including headliners George Ezra and Richard Ashcroft at Victoria Park, Warrington, for the second year the event has taken place.

It will be the first festival appearance in six years for The Futureheads, who are playing on the Sunday along with White Lies, following the release of their new album, Five.

Joining the bill on the Saturday are The Twang, The Howl and The Hum, Glass Caves, Vida and emerging Manchester band, Larkins.

On Sunday, White Lies and The Futureheads will be joined by The Snuts, Inhaler, Apre and Orla Gartland.
