Roughneck Riot say Ciao, for now with final 2018 shows

Roughneck Riot are going on holiday!

Folk-Punk six-piece, Roughneck Riot have announced their final shows of 2018 before taking a break in 2019.

As one of the hardest working DIY bands, they have found themselves playing across the UK and Europe and will be taking the time to work on their 4th album (Click here to see what we thought of their last album, Out Of Anger).

Their post on the Facebook page can be read below:

After several years of fastidious and relentless gigging, touring and drinking, Roughneck Riot will be having a holiday.
We’re incredibly humbled by the support we’ve had from each and every one of you over the years and we will be back in 2020 with a new album, new facial hair and a rejuvenated energy.
We still have several shows over next few months so catch us before we go into semi-hibernation! While we’ll be away from regular gigging we’ll still be working on our new album and hope to get some nice videos and things together for it so stay tuned for some sneaky treat peeks… So don’t be a stranger!
We hope to see you over the next few months and then in the future; balder, fatter and with a good strong labour government and nothing to complain about anymore…
Much love and Ciao for now, x

It is incredible hard and taxing being in a band and ultimately an expensive passion at times, we wish the band well for their time away, but will be excitedly waiting their return. No doubt you’ll see them around Old Town House where Cait is co-owner.

There is no doubt thought, the former Warrington Music Festival headliners will be missed in 2019 so be sure to make the most of their final shows, for now.

30/06 – Stamford, Mama Liz’s
01/07 – York, Fulford Arms
13/07 – Burnley, Sanctuary
15/07 – Warrington Old Town House (wt/ The Creepshow)
12/08 – Winchester, Boomtown Fair
17/08 – Leeds, The Wardrobe
04/10 – Kendal, Bootleggers
05/10 – Stafford, Redrum
06/10 – Hastings, The Palace
07/10 – High Wycombe, The Phoenix

12/10 – Warrington Old Town House
13/10 – Cambridge, The Corner House
14/10 – Middlesborough, Westgarth Social Club

We’ve never needed an excuse to put on some Roughneck Riot.. so if you’re heading to any of the shows, expect to hear a bit of

Some of this

And we’re hoping lots of this!
