Friars Court will host two indie legends as part of its Neighbourhood Weekender celebrations.
Tim Burgess, lead singer of the Charlatans, will play a DJ set at Friars Court on Saturday night (26th May).
Fellow Madchester hero Clint Boon, keyboardist of Inspiral Carpets, will then DJ at the Barbauld Street venue on Sunday evening (27th).
The bar will also open at the earlier time of 5pm on both days specially for festivalgoers.
Manager Simon Pugsley said: “We’re going to have lots going on and it’s going to be a very busy weekend.
“He [Boon] loves Friars Court, because there aren’t many venues – even in the big cities – that predominantly play just indie music.
“Friars has always tried to stay true to its character and keep its indie thing going.
– Simon Pugsley, Friars Court Manager
