The 25-year-old said: “Supporting the charity is very important to me because I believe it is a topic that is not widely discussed.
“We need to be made more aware of the support that is out there to help prevent the issues that the charity is dedicated to.
“I have sadly known people affected, and been affected by the issues and fully support PAPYRUS in all the work that they do which is why I decided to organise this live music event and also promote the music talent in the area.”
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK.
Every year more than 1,600 young people take their own life.
PAPYRUS is the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.
Ottilie Scanlon, PAPYRUS fundraising officer, said: “Our supporters and fundraisers provide a huge part of our income, which helps us to reach more people across the UK, supporting young people at risk of suicide.”
