A MUSICIAN and former Birchwood High pupil is hoping to spark more interest in Warrington’s unsigned bands with a new live showcase.
Gráinne Curzon, who is in the indie rock band Fort Myers, is organising Eyes Peeled Live which takes place at The Auction Rooms in Legh Street on Friday, October 6, from 9pm.
The line-up includes Synth-pop band, The Navettes who were in Yamaha’s new Revstar guitar campaign, Birchwood rock and roll band Sweet Release, Warrington shoegaze group Danxia, pictured, and Manchester indie trio The Capitals.

“My hope is to create more of an atmosphere at the events, encouraging audiences to stay throughout the gig rather than just for one band and sparking more of an interest in unsigned bands.” – Gráinne Curzon

“Into this melting pot of rhythm goes rock and roll and an influx of blues finished off with a dash of Madchester.”

“Swirly, psych-inspired guitars, melodic bass lines and haunting vocals laced with reverb – it’s easy to get sucked in to Danxia’s dream-like sound.”
“Punchy, indie three piece that is The Capitals. They bring a new sound to the streets of Manchester and are definitely a band to look out for.”
Doors open at 9pm with tickets are priced at £5 (advance) and £7 on the door. 18+
