Tickets are on sale now for [WAM]’s very special 5th Birthday show at the Parr Hall on Friday 16th March.
SLYDIGS will be playing their biggest hometown gig in March describing it as ‘our way of giving back to the town that has given us so much over the years’.
Burtonwood’s rock and roll four-piece are previous headliners of Warrington Music Festival and recently toured the world with The Who.
The band will be playing at the Parr Hall on March 16 as part of the fifth anniversary celebrations of [WAM]. They will be joined by an all-Warrington line-up including special guests funk rock collective The Winachi Tribe, psychedelic rockers Psyblings and fuzz pop four-piece The K’s.
It is the first time a grassroots Warrington band has been booked to play the 1,100 capacity Parr Hall – the biggest music venue in the town – since Viola Beach.
Dean Fairhurst, frontman of Slydigs, added: “This gig is a milestone, not just for us but for the community and organisations like [WAM] who have backed us all the way.
“They are the backbone of the music scene in Warrington, they are the ones that keep it alive.
“The band and I started off many years ago in Warrington playing small pubs to 50-odd people striving to get the recognition for the music we create. It has been a long road and there is still a long way to go for us. It will be our biggest headline show to date and for it to be in our home town is incredible. It is our true home coming.
