THE Libertines will be playing at the Parr Hall in just over a weeks time, and tickets were snapped up within four minutes of going on sale.
Carl Barât and Pete Doherty’s indie rock band announced a Warrington date at the last minute after their Blackpool show at the Empress Ballroom had to be postponed due to maintenance work.
The Libertines will now be on stage at the Parr Hall on Friday, September 22.
Their Blackpool gig has been rearranged for December 14.
The Libertines, behind the top 10 hits Can’t Stand Me Now and What Became of the Likely Lads, reformed in 2014 after Carl and Pete mended their troubled relationship.
The four-piece released their third album, Anthems for Doomed Youth, in 2015 – their first record in more than a decade.
Tickets for the Warrington concert are £30 and go on sale at 9am tomorrow, Friday. Visit seetickets.com
The Libertines were one of our predictions for the Warrington Festival taking place at Victoria Park in May here. But it appears we will have a opportunity far sooner to see the reformed indie legends.
