Today sees Warrington Music Festival return across 12 different venues across the town centre. With a mammoth 29 bands and artists playing, you can feel rather spoilt for choice.

ANIMA JAZZ

FORT MYERS, 7pm, alternative band who formed in Birchwood, influenced by Catfish and the Bottlemen, Florence and the Machine and Two Door Cinema Club.

STRANGERS, 8pm, indie trio from Widnes

EDITS, 9pm, atmospheric rock duo from Manchester with electronic influences

PACIFIC, 10pm, piano-led alternative band who have been played on Radio 1 and backed by broadcaster Mark Radcliffe

16 JACKALS, 11pm, three-piece rock band

THE AUCTION ROOMS

METROTONE, 7.45pm, funky acoustic band

ADAM BRADBURY, 8.45pm, acoustic pop/rock artist who once supported Bryan Adams

CHRIS TAVENER, 9.45pm, satirical singer-songwriter known for his witty lyrics

GEORGE EVITA, 10.45pm, alternative artist from Stoke

JAM NIGHT SESSIONS WITH DIZ, 11.30pm, an evening with the frontman of Darkdaze, a heavy metal band with blues influences

THE BEARD BAND, 10pm, Wigan artist James Ball will be bringing his band to the town

SLOWHANDCLAP, 7.30pm, alternative/grunge trio

THE CAPITALS, 8.30pm, a group of brothers and friends who make diverse music that covers everything from indie and rock music to the psychedelic and folk genres

PETER ROCH, 9.30pm, soulful indie singer

POLAR STATES, 10.30pm, Liverpool band championed by BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 6’s Steve Lamacq and Chris Hawkins and BBC Introducing’s Dave Monks

WYNN WARLOW, 7.30pm, acoustic artist

BEN ROBINSON, 8pm, an 18 year old singer-songwriter from the Wakefield area

MATT MCCLURE, 8.30pm, acoustic artist

EVIL PICCOLO, 9pm, an artist who brings heavy rock influences to his acoustic show

MATT KING, 9.30pm, a solo artist who combines folk, punk and blues influences

SYMBIONT, 10pm, quirky acoustic duo from Warrington

JOE HATTON, 7pm, former Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School singer who has been a familiar face at the festival since it launched in 2007

DELECTRIFIED, 9pm, Delta and Piedmont-style blues guitar and harmonica
