On the Compilation: Meet, The Tamalas

The Tamalas
The Tamalas

Throughout the month of May we will be asking the bands from the Warrington Music Festival Compilation about their experiences, and what they are looking forward to during the long weekend of music, 26-28th May. Visit our Festival section for all details.

Today, The Tamalas were featured on the Warrington Wolves twitter feed, looking to be part of the Warrington Wolves playlist against Widnes Vikings this Sunday. If you would like to have your music featured through one of our partners, click here.

Later on this month, they play Warrington Music Festival and we asked them a few questions before their appearance, the first since releasing long awaited new music from the Same Light EP.

Stage Time: Saturday 27th May – 22:00

One Sentence to describe your band/ track: Indie quartet who produce anthemic sing along tunes. The latest single ‘Same Light’ draws influence from the dynamic songwriting of bands such as The Doves and Maccabees.

Favourite Warrington Music Festival Moment?: we had a very merry and enthusiastic dancer at the front of the stage last year who provided a few laughs.

Who are you looking forward to seeing at this years festival?: The Sunday headliners (Cast/ Space) are both big favourites of ours. There’s a great line up of local bands too.

What are your plans after the Festival in the next few months?:
We’re playing a couple of gigs across Manchester then we play Isle of Wight festival in June.

Thank you Matt, Same Light is available now to download for free on the WArringtonMusic.co.uk Festival Compilation. Available to download from the below.
