Viola Beach: a BBC Introducing tribute
Marking one year since the tragic accident in Sweden, watch a special tribute released by the BBC paying tribute to Viola Beach and Craig Tarry one year on from the five friends’ tragic deaths.
The montage of clips documents the band’s journey including their BBC Introducing set at Reading and Leeds to headlining Glastonbury.
Interviews with Radio One DJs Huw Stephens and Clara Amfo as well as the moment Greg James announced the band had reached the number one spot in the Official Album Charts have been included in the four-and-a-half minute video.

In other news, Four Arriva buses have been specially decorated to mark the first anniversary of the tragic deaths of Warrington band Viola Beach exactly one year ago today.
Arriva bus company worked with the families and the River Reeves Foundation charity to celebrate their lives by re-decorating the buses, which will be officially launched tomorrow (Tues).
The charity aims to help young people realise their dreams as musicians, actors, writers, artists, dancers and directors through grants, donations and legacy projects. Arriva will be working with the foundation throughout 2017 and beyond to support their aims.
An Arriva spokesperson said: “We wanted mark the anniversary of the accident involving Viola Beach which resulted in five very special and talented young men losing their lives.
“The families have taken what was a tragedy and turned it into something positive.”
