On the Warrington Guardian website, in anticipation of Warrington Festival‘s weekend of Live Music, Weekend Editor David Morgan speaks to Go West about life after the 80’s, their whirlwind success and how have been reliving the era in which they made their name and their hits since the turn of the 21st century.

Brit Award winners Peter Cox and Richard Drummie who are behind the hits, We Close Our Eyes, Call Me and King of Wishful Thinking will be at Bank Park alongside Nik Kershaw and T’Pau for Warrington Festival on Friday September 16. Read their interview here.

The following night, homecomings don’t get much better for James ‘Stel’ Stelfox and Ben Byrne, members of Starsailor who will be headlining a day of live music at Bank Park on September 17. The duo from the NME Award-winning bandwill be reuniting with family and friends as around 3,000 revellers gather for one of the highlights of Warrington Festival. They talk about their old gigging venues in the town and what to expect from their next album, coming a whole 7 years after their last. Read more here.

The event, which features 13 further artists from the northwest will also feature an exclusive video tribute to Viola Beach that has only been previously shown once before at the celebration gig at Parr Hall back in April.
