Man and the Echo continue work on debut album after conquering Glastonbury

Man and the Echo

WARRINGTON band Man and the Echo are working on their debut album after performing at Glastonbury.

The four-piece played on Billy Bragg’s Leftfield Stage at the celebrated festival in June where Coldplay paid tribute to Viola Beach by covering Boys That Sing.

It has been a good year for Man and the Echo with support from John Kennedy on Radio X who champions new, emerging and under-the-radar musicians on his X-Posure show.

The band, whose music is described as oddball pop with a touch of socialist ideals, have also had airplay on Radio 2, Radio 4, 6 Music and Absolute Radio. Members of the band have previously played Warrington Music Festival under the guise of Cheap Cuts.

You can hear Distance Runner at and next up for the band is a performance at Reading and Leeds Festivals during the August bank holiday.   via Warrington Guardian
